The Team unpack, a daily ritual

Bryan switching from Buddy Inspiration rebreather to simple scuba

The centre hole attached to the starboard side of the gudgeon with a large iron nail which would have gone through the sternpost

The other end showing concreted bent nails

Looking along half of the length

Side profile with the grid beyond

The port side gudgeon which has a “curved” shape at the end which was attached to the round cylinder with the hole in it.

Close up of the curved section

At the end of the port gugdeon there was a large section of lead sheeting attached. The lead sheeting had the same bronze copper nails which the hull copper sheering had to attach them to the hull. Note the matching lengths and iron nail positions

The lead sheeting had been wrapped arround the port gudgeon, possibly by the force of the explosion
